The approval of Ethereum's ETF last month sent ripples through the financial world, foreshadowing the exponential rise in value that gold experienced after the Gold ETF was approved in the 90s (If you’re still wondering what an ETF is, it's a way for traditional investors to bet on the value of an asset without holding it, opening trillions of dollars of value potential for that asset—basically, number go up)! While both Bitcoin and Ethereum account for more than two-thirds of the entire crypto market cap, there’s a bigger message I wish to convey.

Ethereum stands for more than just cryptocurrency—it symbolizes the potential of altcoins. Over the last decade, digital currencies have been spearheading new business opportunities and appealing to forward-thinking investors who see beyond conventional financial limitations. They represent innovation and a future-oriented mindset, much like how the internet revolutionized communication. This movement will be viewed as ‘how on-chain technology revolutionized value.’ I believe we are still at the start of a massive shift—an explosion of the tokenization of our lives.

Altcoins hold the tokenization of our lives. This isn't speculative; influential voices like Larry Fink (CEO of BlackRock) have recently highlighted the impending tokenization of everyday activities. This is a classic case of "follow the money." Knowing that BlackRock is the largest financial institution in the world that manages over 10 trillion dollars, this shift will redefine how we perceive and handle value, with digital tokens becoming integral to our transactions, with easier off-ramping solutions to spend in real time already underway.

As AI begins to replace 50 to 90 percent of the workforce, our economic structures will need more than Universal Basic Income (UBI) to sustain themselves. In this context, the tokenization of our lives will be welcomed and encouraged by governments to build fresh economic stability and growth.

People will become accustomed to holding and spending various digital coins, a trend already seen among Web3 and Web3’s memecoin culture, but will soon be commonplace with gamers (yes, gamers!).
